After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Fernan Burni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menucos's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernan Burni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Nesor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 played minutes Menucos got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Burni. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Burni in the 24th minute of play forced Ongamira AFC's goalkeeper Jairo Nesor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Robustiano Haimar fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ongamira AFC's protests and gave Robustiano Haimar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Robustiano Haimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ongamira AFC's Robustiano Haimar got his second yellow card of the match in the 31st minute. The referee ordered Robustiano Haimar off the ground. Robustiano Haimar hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernan Burni in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jairo Nesor saved Ongamira AFC from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Jorge Gonsalve left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Menucos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernan Burni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Eustaquio Caradaro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Ponciano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Raul Feliu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Menucos's Marco Ponciano. Marco Ponciano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Feliu in the 80th minute of play forced Menucos's goalkeeper Marco Ponciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Nesor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Burni in the 85th minute of the match. Ongamira AFC's Arsenio Ganix suffered a torn muscle in his knee after 97 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Menucos getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Benicio Millano hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
