The referee ignored Los Imperfectos's protests and gave Gabriel Rik a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Water Resisten Club booed when Los Imperfectos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Rik didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Imperfectos's zone, Apolo Abad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Piearres came out of the goal and Apolo Abad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Virgilio Piearres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Paez, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Virgilio Piearres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Abad in the 34th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Paez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Piearres was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. If Apolo Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Los Imperfectos getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Emanuel Paez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Virgilio Piearres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrado Osasun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Apolo Abad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Virgilio Piearres made a huge save. 96 minutes into the match, Los Imperfectos's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Paez came free, but Virgilio Piearres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
