Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Clemente Bartolome came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Calchaqui's Omar Batistuta. But to his dismay, Omar Batistuta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Omar Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Honorio Harkaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Bartolome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Mineteros Unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Innocenzio to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Mineteros Unidos getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Nicolas Innocenzio hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Omar Batistuta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calchaqui's Omar Batistuta got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Mineteros Unidos got a freekick which was hit by Benito Kelemen. 27 minutes into the match, Omar Batistuta notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Mineteros Unidos's Clemente Bartolome. Clemente Bartolome was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mineteros Unidos's Clemente Bartolome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Batistuta in the 30th minute of play. Alberto Iigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Bartolome having to interfere. Lázaro Lico's late challenge caught a Mineteros Unidos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Lico helped the player get up and apologised. Lázaro Lico hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mineteros Unidos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Calchaqui a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Artemio Elivareo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mineteros Unidos's Clemente Bartolome. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualterio Gaskon made a kick off. Honorio Harkaitz struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Clemente Bartolome didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calchaqui. Clemente Bartolome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Omar Batistuta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Clemente Bartolome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Calchaqui's Omar Batistuta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After having played for 69 minutes, Honorio Harkaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calchaqui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Harkaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Siro Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Mineteros Unidos's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Batistuta came free, but Clemente Bartolome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arsenio Belmiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Calchaqui's Omar Batistuta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Clemente Bartolome. That made the score 0-5 after 78 minutes of play. Clemente Bartolome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Iigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Mineteros Unidos's Tobias Oxel got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Alberto Iigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Batistuta struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. When Omar Batistuta came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Calchaqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Batistuta couldn't finish the play. Omar Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Iigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Bartolome having to interfere. Calchaqui's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
