Elpidio Tallia hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Alonzo Polentzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomiro Guilabertus was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 10th minute Anacleto Ishmael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Guilabertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafin Transito was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 12 minutes into the match. The referee gave Poma AFC a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Melquiades Otoniel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Languiñeo's Baldomiro Guilabertus. 0-2. If Kamer Tanyolaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomiro Guilabertus came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Poma AFC's Anacleto Ishmael. But to his dismay, Anacleto Ishmael quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Alonzo Polentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomiro Guilabertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Mikelats in the 22nd minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match, Domingo Haritz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnoldo Llope saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 34 minutes into the match, Languiñeo's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Polentzi came free, but Baldomiro Guilabertus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonzo Polentzi in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomiro Guilabertus saved Languiñeo from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Domingo Haritz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Haritz in the 46th minute of play forced Poma AFC's goalkeeper Arnoldo Llope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Poma AFC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Domingo Haritz made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Poma AFC's Anacleto Ishmael ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baldomiro Guilabertus. Baldomiro Guilabertus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 59th minute Domingo Haritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Llope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Languiñeo's Kamer Tanyolaç got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Poma AFC's Roque Mikelats sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomiro Guilabertus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alonzo Polentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Languiñeo's Baldomiro Guilabertus got control of the ball when Rogelio Olayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Poma AFC's Roque Mikelats slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baldomiro Guilabertus. That made the score 0-6 after 72 minutes of play. Baldomiro Guilabertus was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Roque Mikelats capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roque Mikelats really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. After some careless play in the Poma AFC defense, Domingo Haritz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnoldo Llope. The Poma AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnoldo Llope should have stopped the shot. Domingo Haritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Llope having to interfere. Languiñeo's Baldomiro Guilabertus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Languiñeo from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Alonzo Polentzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poma AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Polentzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomiro Guilabertus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alonzo Polentzis short, quick shot in the 99thth minute got Baldomiro Guilabertus to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Poma AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
