Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tosquita AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! A hard shot 16 in the game by Ladislao Ostots from a close distance when the talented Gonzalo Beremundo managed to make a qualified save. newell´s old boys's players were relieved. newell´s old boys's Gonzalo Beremundo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save newell´s old boys from getting a goal against them. Elias Xabat had several of the newell´s old boys's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Gonzalo Beremundo as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 31st minute Alvaro Egoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Tome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of newell´s old boys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tosquita AFC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Gonzalo Beremundo, was totally fooled by Tosquita AFC's Artemio Osasun, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in newell´s old boys's zone, Elias Xabat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzalo Beremundo came out of the goal and Elias Xabat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Ostots in the 52nd minute of play forced newell´s old boys's goalkeeper Gonzalo Beremundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Jeremias Emeterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Silvio Su sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tosquita AFC's Marciano Tome didn't even have to move. newell´s old boys's Gonzalo Beremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Ostots in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Tosquita AFC's goalkeeper Marciano Tome had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejandro Endira. After 71 minutes, Elias Xabat made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. newell´s old boys's Gonzalo Beremundo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Xabat scored 5-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gonzalo Beremundo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ladislao Ostots fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Beremundo having to interfere.
