When Gustavo Montel, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Flavio Illart was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Gustavo Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento FC's zone, Delmiro Roland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Theodore came out of the goal and Delmiro Roland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Jorge Bela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nogolí's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Bela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Theodore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Roland in the 34th minute of play forced Sarmiento FC's goalkeeper Igor Theodore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Bela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Theodore having to interfere. Igor Theodore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delmiro Roland went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Nogolí were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Leizarraga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Nogolí booed when Sarmiento FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Leizarraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento FC's Arnaldo Barbosa got a free kick in the 58th minute. Delmiro Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Illart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Montel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Illart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Montel in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Sarmiento FC's Gustavo Montel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Illart narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
