Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Blas Esdras got the match started through his kick off. Blas Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th match minute, Chamicó FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Pirro to maneuver through the defense. Blas Esdras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Cipriano Cheche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Javier Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javier Fernandes in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvestre Pueblo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Teofilo Roldanillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cipriano Cheche. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Apolo Sauveur hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Emanuel Quirze came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Chamicó FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Quirze couldn't finish the play. If Blas Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cipriano Cheche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Esdras in the 35th minute of the match. Blas Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apolo Sauveur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Javier Fernandes to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Fernandes in the 53rd minute of play forced Tortugas's goalkeeper Silvestre Pueblo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Cheche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Esdras in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Emanuel Quirze fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Teofilo Roldanillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Cheche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tortugas's Apolo Sauveur got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Emanuel Quirze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Silvestre Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Quirze really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Tortugas players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
