Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matias Sandaili started the match with the kick off. Cornelio Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Esdras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvestre Pueblo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Sandaili in the 8th minute of the match. Cornelio Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Roldanillo in the 11th minute of play. Silvestre Pueblo came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by sofia f.c's Damaso Maurin. But to his dismay, Damaso Maurin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Blas Esdras dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cornelio Merexildo, 1-1. Damaso Maurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Pueblo having to interfere. Ciriaco Gonsalve made in the 26th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Anastasio Jobo immediately put the ball in play. Tortugas's Silvestre Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Maurin in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Damaso Maurin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. sofia f.c's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Maurin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute of the match Ciriaco Gonsalve sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvestre Pueblo skillfully saved the ball. In the 40th minute Matias Sandaili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Maurin struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Silvestre Pueblo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sofia f.c. Blas Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ovidio Perpinya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, sofia f.c's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Esdras came free, but Cornelio Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blas Esdras to make the kick off. Damaso Maurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Pueblo having to interfere. Apolo Sauveur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Merexildo having to interfere. Blas Esdras took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornelio Merexildo. Cornelio Merexildo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Apolo Sauveur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cornelio Merexildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornelio Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Esdras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Alfredo Paskal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Sauveur hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Apolo Sauveur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tortugas's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Sauveur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Merexildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Blas Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. sofia f.c's Cornelio Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Sauveur in the 91st minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tortugas had played much better football throughout.
