Though ot was a great shot Cemento Armado FC's keeper Marcelo Artal was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 7th minute, Basilio Truylos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Epifanio Txatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Artal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Egoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Basilio Truylos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Dubardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Cristian Egoitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Artal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

After 52 played minutes Cemento Armado FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Sandalio. Marcelo Artal came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Malanzán's Cristian Egoitz. But to his dismay, Cristian Egoitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 61 played minutes Malanzán got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Llorian. If Jairo Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Llorian charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laureano Llorian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th minute, Laureano Llorian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermengildo Dubardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Truylos in the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Cemento Armado FC booed when Malanzán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Txatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Malanzán's zone, Jairo Bide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermengildo Dubardo came out of the goal and Jairo Bide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Egoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Marcelo Artal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Froilan Maraman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Artal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Cristian Egoitz struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Marcelo Artal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malanzán. Jairo Bide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Malanzán had won after a very even match.
