After 11 minutes of play, Esmeralda's Urbano Estavan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enrique Papo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Urbano Estavan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Lauaxeta charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Lauaxeta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Tomas Lauaxeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Octavio Florinio made a precise shot to the right of Fausto Paskal. Esmeralda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Roque Mantzio took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Fausto Paskal to make any attempt to save it. Fausto Paskal made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Octavio Florinio sent off a good shot on target. If Octavio Florinio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Estavan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Papo having to interfere. Fausto Paskal made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Octavio Florinio sent off a good shot on target. Enrique Papo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Estavan in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Froilan Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Lauaxeta kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Froilan Arias got free with Enrique Papo in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Octavio Florinio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Paskal. Esmeralda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavio Florinio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Froilan Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Maimará AFC got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Ramone. After 67 played minutes, Esmeralda's Jeremias Vedillo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enrique Papo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Esmeralda reached it. If Froilan Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Roque Mantzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes of play, Maimará AFC's Roque Mantzio made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Froilan Arias got free with Enrique Papo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Froilan Arias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Papo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Urbano Estavan might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Papo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Urbano Estavan ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Lauaxeta kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Maimará AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Froilan Arias fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ismael Tartalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Papo having to interfere. Esmeralda's Froilan Arias got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Maimará AFC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
