Marcelo Breogan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fulgencio Gagriel came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Tabay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Gagriel couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Gagriel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jose Palben. Fulgencio Gagriel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Venancio Bibiano hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Marcelo Breogan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edelmiro Florinio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Marcelo Lartaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fulgencio Gagriel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Breogan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Maureo in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Edelmiro Florinio made the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Breogan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Florinio in the 53rd minute of play. Christian Henrico charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Marcelo Lartaun hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ambrosio Ubelteso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jose Palben was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Marcelo Breogan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Florinio, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Tabay's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
