When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Jimeno Galsino sped through Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Desiderio Modestio. After 24 played minutes Gimnasia y Esgrima LP got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Modestio. Honorio Ponciano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramon Mambru kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Genaro Lorencio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Makallé's Eleuterio Maureo didn't even have to move. In the 40th minute, Mateo Etxepare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Eleuterio Maureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Meder in the 51st minute of the match. When Honorio Ponciano came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Makallé fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Ponciano couldn't finish the play. Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's Desiderio Modestio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Galsino in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Makallé booed when Gimnasia y Esgrima LP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Modestio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's goalkeeper Desiderio Modestio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorio Ponciano. Jimeno Galsino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Modestio having to interfere. Eleuterio Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Meder in the 64th minute of play. Niceto Meder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eleuterio Maureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Desiderio Modestio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Honorio Ponciano in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Galsino in the 71st minute of play forced Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's goalkeeper Desiderio Modestio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorio Ponciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honorio Ponciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Modestio having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Gimnasia y Esgrima LP:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Makallé:s goal. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Makallé. Mateo Etxepare stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Desiderio Modestio. 0-3. If Honorio Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Modestio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Ciriaco Palben got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Desiderio Modestio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4.
