With his leg Victor Arias managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Deportivo Mbarete's Edgard Gaztea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 20th match minute, Deportivo Mbarete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Sandaili to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Loren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Machigasta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Madaleno came free, but Victor Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Loren struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Gervasio Hitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Machigasta AFC. Gervasio Hitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Saturnin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Madaleno was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Deportivo Mbarete's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Machigasta AFC's goalkeeper Victor Arias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
