The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Deportivo Mbarete booed when RiverPalomarFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Felipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edgard Gaztea, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 7 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tiburcio Totakoxe was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Elpidio Sandaili's late challenge caught a RiverPalomarFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elpidio Sandaili helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Elpidio Sandaili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Abelardo Txilar in the 10th minute really tested Gervasio Hitz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tiburcio Totakoxe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Madaleno went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. RiverPalomarFC's Erubiel Lastur got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deportivo Mbarete's Gervasio Hitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Felipo in the 20th minute of play. RiverPalomarFC's Erubiel Lastur got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victorino Felipo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes, Victorino Felipo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RiverPalomarFC and the Deportivo Mbarete players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes RiverPalomarFC got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Felipo. After having played for 38 minutes, Lucas Madaleno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Mbarete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Madaleno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erubiel Lastur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Hitz having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Felipo in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervasio Hitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christian Romano charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Romano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Deportivo Mbarete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Romano to maneuver through the defense. The RiverPalomarFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Mbarete were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas Madaleno made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Edgard Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Mbarete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Gaztea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute Lucas Madaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Totakoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Erubiel Lastur managed to get in a good position for a shot. RiverPalomarFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erubiel Lastur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Hitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the match, RiverPalomarFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Madaleno came free, but Tiburcio Totakoxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Lastur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Hitz having to interfere. Lucas Madaleno struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Tiburcio Totakoxe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Mbarete. Gervasio Hitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Lastur in the 78th minute of play. RiverPalomarFC's Erubiel Lastur got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victorino Felipo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mbarete's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Felipo came free, but Gervasio Hitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
