Spectators: 7119 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 68) Tambillos FC's Hector Peyo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlos Loren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Eguerdi having to interfere. Carlos Loren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Angel Eguerdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Machigasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Gimenez. Atilano Gimenez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angel Eguerdi. Tambillos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angel Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Saturnin in the 20th minute of play. Carlos Loren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Eguerdi having to interfere. After 26 minutes of play, Machigasta AFC's Ariel Saturnin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angel Eguerdi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ermegildo Basajaun hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Machigasta AFC's Gabriel Barea broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Ariel Saturnin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Machigasta AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Saturnin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angel Eguerdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ariel Saturnin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Tambillos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Loren came free, but Angel Eguerdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angel Eguerdi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Socorro's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Rafael Socorro charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Socorro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tambillos FC booed when Machigasta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Socorro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Loren was the one to do the kick off. Isaac Berto's late challenge caught a Machigasta AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaac Berto helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Carlos Loren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Machigasta AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Loren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angel Eguerdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Loreto in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tambillos FC's goalkeeper Angel Eguerdi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Ariel Saturnin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Machigasta AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 71 played minutes Tambillos FC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Peyo. Hector Peyo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Victor Arias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tambillos FC. Ariel Saturnin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rafael Socorro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Machigasta AFC's Victor Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Peyo in the 82nd minute of play. When Carlos Loren came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Machigasta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Loren couldn't finish the play. Carlos Loren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angel Eguerdi came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Loren slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 87th minute. Tambillos FC's Angel Eguerdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Loren in the 92nd minute of play. Adolfo Loreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Victor Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hector Peyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Machigasta AFC played a much better game than Tambillos FC and deserved their victory. The Tambillos FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
