The audience thought a goal was coming when Ariel Saturnin got free with Ulises Ulizes in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ulises Ulizes was a little too slow when Carlos Loren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 12th minute, Ignacio Pinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Weekend FC's Ulises Ulizes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Weekend FC from getting a goal against them. Salvador Presebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Weekend FC booed when Machigasta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Socorro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atilano Tancredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Salvador Presebal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilano Tancredo during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Atilano Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Weekend FC's zone, Ariel Saturnin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Ulizes came out of the goal and Ariel Saturnin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Americo Artal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Weekend FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Machigasta AFC the free kick. A collision led to Weekend FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Americo Artal hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Loren was the one to do the kick off. Atilano Tancredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Victor Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Weekend FC's Atilano Tancredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Arias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Machigasta AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Saturnin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Ulizes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the game, Leonides Socorro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Adolfo Pacorro shot from long distance in the 78th minute, but Victor Arias was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Carlos Loren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Machigasta AFC's Carlos Loren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulises Ulizes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 93 minutes into the match, Ariel Saturnin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulises Ulizes. Weekend FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Saturnin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Rafael Socorro hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Weekend FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Machigasta AFC.
