When Fabian Buinton came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the NDI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Buinton couldn't finish the play. Ulises Donostia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Deportivo Mbarete's Gervasio Hitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Artal in the 14th minute of play. When Fabian Buinton came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the NDI FC fans jumped to their feet. If Fabian Buinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Lucas Madaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Edgard Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Mbarete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Gaztea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gervasio Hitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Milian in the 30th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Elpidio Sandaili mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Mbarete and the NDI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabian Buinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Antonio Milian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NDI FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Milian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Fabian Buinton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Alonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gervasio Hitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the NDI FC defense, Edgard Gaztea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Bastian. The NDI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Bastian should have stopped the shot. When Fabian Buinton came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the NDI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Buinton couldn't finish the play. The NDI FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Mbarete were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Fabian Buinton made the kick off in the second half. The long shot by Zacarias Chan in the 57th minute really tested Hector Bastian's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Hector Bastian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Madaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Mbarete's zone, Cristian Alonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gervasio Hitz came out of the goal and Cristian Alonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Artal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Hitz having to interfere. Jonathan Artal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Fabian Buinton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gervasio Hitz. Deportivo Mbarete's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabian Buinton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gervasio Hitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Artal, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. A collision led to Deportivo Mbarete getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Raul Macias hit a great ball. Ulises Donostia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Fabian Buinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonio Milian in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervasio Hitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Cristian Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. NDI FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Alonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Hitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, NDI FC's Fabian Buinton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gervasio Hitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. NDI FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Deportivo Mbarete to leave the ground with a draw.
