In the 12th minute Filip Harman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Hitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Dante Gonza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gervasio Hitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 20th match minute, Yacuchirí AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Bernad to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgard Gaztea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Gaitan. That made the score 2-1 in the 22 minute of play. When Yacuchirí AFC's Filip Harman in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gervasio Hitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yacuchirí AFC. 40 minutes into the match, Yacuchirí AFC's Filip Harman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gervasio Hitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Harman in the 42nd minute of play forced Deportivo Mbarete's goalkeeper Gervasio Hitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Madaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ernesto Gaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Madaleno in the 46th minute of play. Filip Harman took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervasio Hitz. Gervasio Hitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas Madaleno made a kick off. Ernesto Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Madaleno in the 55th minute of the match. Ernesto Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Madaleno in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Christian Romano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Mbarete's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yacuchirí AFC the free kick. Filip Harman let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 64th minute shot 2-3 at rihgt post. Ernesto Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Madaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Mbarete's Gervasio Hitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Mbarete from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute, Yacuchirí AFC's Isidoro Haritz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Isidoro Haritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gervasio Hitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Isidoro Haritz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Yacuchirí AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Haritz couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Mbarete's zone, Isidoro Haritz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gervasio Hitz came out of the goal and Isidoro Haritz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yacuchirí AFC played a much better game than Deportivo Mbarete and deserved their victory. The Deportivo Mbarete players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
