Arteaga's Serafin Ferdinand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Amato in the 5th minute of play. Serafin Ferdinand came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by independiente's Timoteo Beat. But to his dismay, Timoteo Beat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Timoteo Beat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Ferdinand having to interfere. If Domingo Amato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Mitxel in the 18th minute of play forced independiente's goalkeeper Jeremias Mincho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vinicio Bermund during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes independiente got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Bermund. Cleto Mitxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Domingo Amato came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingo Amato couldn't finish the play. Arteaga's Roberto Llorienzo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for independiente. Timoteo Beat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingo Amato struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Serafin Ferdinand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for independiente. After a defensive mix-up in Arteaga's zone, Timoteo Beat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Ferdinand came out of the goal and Timoteo Beat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Domingo Amato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Timoteo Beat sped through Arteaga's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Serafin Ferdinand. After the first half independiente were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cleto Mitxel made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to independiente getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rodolfo Astigar hit a great ball. Ubaldo Lore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jeremias Mincho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. independiente's Jeremias Mincho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Mitxel in the 57th minute of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Timoteo Beat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arteaga's Serafin Ferdinand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andres Figueroa shot from long distance in the 77th minute, but Serafin Ferdinand was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. independiente's Desiderio Peruxu suffered a sore thigh after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jeremias Mincho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Lore in the 82nd minute of play. Jeremias Mincho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Lore in the 85th minute of the match. Cleto Mitxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Remir's late challenge caught a Arteaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Remir helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Remir to maneuver through the defense. If Cleto Mitxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
