An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Regis in the 12th minute of play forced Barrilete Cósmico FC's goalkeeper Leonel Quintun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Regis came free, but Leonel Quintun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Leopoldo Leobardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barrilete Cósmico FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 59 minutes into the game, Barrilete Cósmico FC's Leopoldo Leobardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emil Västlund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Julio Regis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. Atletico Milanga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. If Cirilo Lehoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Regis's late challenge caught a Barrilete Cósmico FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Regis helped the player get up and apologised. Julio Regis hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. If Julio Regis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Silverio Rito got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Atletico Milanga's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Barrilete Cósmico FC had won, even though Atletico Milanga had held more of the ball.
