Evelio Cambranes came out of the goal and Leandro Gil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alejo Atauri fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Piratas de Alberdi's protests and gave Alejo Atauri a yellow card for diving instead. Alejo Atauri kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Cirilo Inko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Evelio Cambranes. Los Piratas de Alberdi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dionisio Presebal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
