Hernan Fiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reynaldo Loiola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernan Fiz ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Quin in the 5th minute of play forced Necol AFC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Loiola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Camerino kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Cecilio Veremundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reynaldo Loiola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cecilio Veremundo ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Macacha's Americo Firmo got a free kick in the 14th minute. Silvio Hustaz struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Gaston Abarca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Necol AFC. Hernan Fiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Nemesio Quin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Loiola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Hustaz in the 23rd minute of play forced Macacha's goalkeeper Gaston Abarca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Necol AFC's zone, Nemesio Quin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Loiola came out of the goal and Nemesio Quin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Americo Firmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Loiola having to interfere. If Silvio Hustaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Abarca was a little too slow when Silvio Hustaz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st match minute, Macacha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Firmo to maneuver through the defense. Macacha's Gaston Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Hustaz in the 54th minute of play. Nemesio Quin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Reynaldo Loiola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Igon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Gaston Abarca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Necol AFC booed when Macacha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Fiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Macacha's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Fiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Loiola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvio Hustaz took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaston Abarca. Gaston Abarca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Nemesio Quin came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Macacha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Quin couldn't finish the play. Reynaldo Loiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Fiz in the 92nd minute of play.
