After a rather tough play, Moreno FC's Rigoberto Veremundo got a free kick in the 31st minute. The supporters of Defensores del Dorado booed when Moreno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Fonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Higinio Foro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justo Mano. Higinio Foro ran back to his position shaking his head. When Silvestre Porfirio came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Defensores del Dorado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Porfirio couldn't finish the play. Maximo Rito hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moreno FC's goalkeeper Justo Mano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Silvestre Porfirio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Porfirio was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Higinio Foro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justo Mano. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Higinio Foro in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justo Mano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Higinio Foro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Justo Mano having to make a save. In the 69th minute Higinio Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Mano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Moreno FC's goalkeeper Justo Mano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Moreno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Foro came free, but Justo Mano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Porfirio struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Justo Mano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores del Dorado. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Silvestre Porfirio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores del Dorado's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvestre Porfirio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justo Mano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justo Mano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Porfirio in the 87th minute of the match. Moreno FC's Rigoberto Veremundo got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Rigoberto Veremundo off the ground.
