The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guido Quinten during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tandil FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Guido Quinten hit a great ball. Teofilo Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmacio Urtats in the 8th minute of play. Dalmacio Urtats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Gonsalvo having to interfere. If Zeledon Librado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Melquiades Lastur came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Tandil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Lastur couldn't finish the play. Teofilo Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Librado in the 21st minute of the match. Zeledon Librado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alfonso Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emilio Pacho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Gumaro in the 32nd minute of the match. Dalmacio Urtats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Zeledon Librado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Johans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Dalmacio Urtats made a precise shot to the right of Teofilo Gonsalvo. Tandil FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmacio Urtats stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Gumaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Urtats in the 57th minute of play forced Tandil FC's goalkeeper Teofilo Gonsalvo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Jasimaná booed when Tandil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Quinten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Pelagius made in the 67th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Arnaldo Servando however managed to control. After 68 minutes of play Tandil FC's Guido Quinten was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 69th match minute, Tandil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Quinten to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Tandil FC's goalkeeper Teofilo Gonsalvo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeledon Librado. Zeledon Librado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Teofilo Gonsalvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Gumaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasimaná's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmacio Urtats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Gonsalvo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Jasimaná's Zeledon Librado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teofilo Gonsalvo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jasimaná's Emilio Pacho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Lastur in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Jasimaná getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Paulo Ricart hit a great ball. Santo Abecia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Pacho having to interfere. Valentin Garcia's late challenge caught a Jasimaná's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. Valentin Garcia hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Tandil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmacio Urtats came free, but Teofilo Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tandil FC's Candido Jakobe got a free kick in the 98th minute. With a little luck, Tandil FC's Teofilo Gonsalvo got control of the ball when Zeledon Librado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jasimaná's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
