The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maximino Peter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 4 minutes, Fabricio Bonadona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chovet FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabricio Bonadona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Chovet FC booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Kismi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro Raulo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Joel Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Blanco having to interfere. If Joel Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabricio Bonadona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Prudencio Blanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabricio Bonadona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prudencio Blanco having to make a save. Celso Rufio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Prudencio Blanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Gilen to maneuver through the defense. Joel Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Joel Cordeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prudencio Blanco. Racing Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Felipe Gilen charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Gilen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Felipe Gilen got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Celso Rufio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chovet FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Rufio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prudencio Blanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 49th minute of the match Tomás Orti shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prudencio Blanco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A hard shot 53 in the game by Celso Rufio from a close distance when the talented Prudencio Blanco managed to make a qualified save. Racing Club's players were relieved. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Fabricio Bonadona got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Gilen in the 66th minute of play forced Chovet FC's goalkeeper Hugo Naike to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fabricio Bonadona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Froilan Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Raulo. In the 83rd minute, Fabricio Bonadona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prudencio Blanco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Rufio got free with Prudencio Blanco in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 91 played minutes Joel Cordeiro rounded Racing Club's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Rufio in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Prudencio Blanco saved Racing Club from getting behind. 96 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Cordeiro came free, but Prudencio Blanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Racing Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chovet FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
