Telpérion's Rolando Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Mel in the 11th minute of play. Cirilo Mel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Rolando Bento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Telpérion getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Anier Innocenzio hit a great ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Christian Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Telpérion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Aires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anier Innocenzio got his second yellow card in the match during the 41st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Santalleres FC booed when Telpérion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Innocenzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gervasio Pudes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rolando Bento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Christian Aires made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gervasio Pudes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santalleres FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Pudes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Bento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celso Ermano during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Celso Ermano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Santalleres FC's Gervasio Pudes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Bento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christian Aires's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ovidio Raebert firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Cirilo Mel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Bento was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cirilo Mel in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Bento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Telpérion getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Celso Ermano hit a great ball. During the 76th minute of the match Celso Ermano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Celso Ermano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 77 played minutes Telpérion got a freekick which was hit by Celso Ermano. After having played for 83 minutes, Gervasio Pudes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santalleres FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Pudes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Telpérion's Rigoberto Eguntsenti got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Gervasio Pudes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Bento having to interfere. The Santalleres FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Telpérion's performance. The match ended with a win for Telpérion.
