Spectators: 6666 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 0) In the 10th minute of the match, Sergio Oihenarte tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Teofilo Gonsalvo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Haroldo Beremundo came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Virreyes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Beremundo couldn't finish the play. David Polo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Gumaro scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Polo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Haroldo Beremundo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Teofilo Gonsalvo to make any attempt to save it. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tandil FC's goalkeeper Teofilo Gonsalvo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Virreyes's David Polo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Gumaro in the 35th minute of play. After 40th play minutes Marco Gumaro shot 1-2, a short shot which went by David Polo and just under the crossbar into goal. Melquiades Lastur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. David Polo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Tandil FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergio Oihenarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Gumaro during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Haroldo Beremundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Gonsalvo having to interfere. Teofilo Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Oihenarte in the 58th minute of the match. Marco Gumaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Polo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Gumaro ran back to his position shaking his head. Oscar Napier kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Marco Gumaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Polo was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Tandil FC's Teofilo Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Beremundo in the 69th minute of play. Guido Quinten hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Sergio Oihenarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Virreyes's Haroldo Beremundo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haroldo Beremundo struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Teofilo Gonsalvo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virreyes. In the 93rd minute, Haroldo Beremundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tandil FC's Candido Jakobe managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jairo Ostargi in the 95 minute of the game. Candido Jakobe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. David Polo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tandil FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tandil FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
