The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Benedicto Leoiar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ermegildo Theobald. The goal made the score 1-0. Melchor Mannie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Potrero getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Melquiades Loi hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Benedicto Leoiar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Potrero's goalkeeper Ermegildo Theobald, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Fulbito VT FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Medardo. Fulbito VT FC's Melchor Mannie got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benedicto Leoiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ermegildo Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Potrero's Dionisio Vincente got a free kick in the 30th minute. With splendid footwork Benedicto Leoiar arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 31st minute. 35 minutes into the game, Francisco Cambranes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Victor Diegotxe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ermegildo Theobald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Leoiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Silvio Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Arlo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Melchor Mannie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ermegildo Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 52nd minute, Benedicto Leoiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benedicto Leoiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Theobald having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Potrero's Melquiades Loi got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 62 played minutes Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Loi. Ermegildo Theobald stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedicto Leoiar's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Dionisio Vincente kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Benedicto Leoiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ermegildo Theobald. Potrero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benedicto Leoiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Potrero's goalkeeper Ermegildo Theobald, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute of the match Cristian Valery sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ermegildo Theobald skillfully saved the ball. Benedicto Leoiar struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ermegildo Theobald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fulbito VT FC. In the 79thth minute of the game Benedicto Leoiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Potrero's Ermegildo Theobald was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fulbito VT FC's Benedicto Leoiar got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Mannie in the 83rd minute of play forced Potrero's goalkeeper Ermegildo Theobald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Cambranes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Victor Diegotxe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fulbito VT FC's zone, Paolo Arlo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Diegotxe came out of the goal and Paolo Arlo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fulbito VT FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
