After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Israel Valiente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Islandia's supporters rose to their feet, but Israel Valiente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Islandia's Elpidio Gonza got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anier Arotza might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carolo Nahia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anier Arotza ran back to his position shaking his head. Hector Quinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Islandia booed when Los Hornos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Teyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Islandia's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Arotza came free, but Carolo Nahia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Silvio Teyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Hornos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Teyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute Anier Arotza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Nahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Quinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Dionisio Peyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Carolo Nahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector Quinton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Islandia's Carolo Nahia got control of the ball when Dionisio Peyo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfonso Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Quinton in the 75th minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Los Hornos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Teyo to maneuver through the defense. If Israel Valiente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Quinton in the 87th minute of play. Los Hornos FC's Alfonso Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Gonza in the 89th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anier Arotza in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carolo Nahia saved Islandia from getting behind. Romulo Lucian kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Hector Quinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Islandia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los Hornos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
