But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Mannie couldn't finish the play. Islandia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Benedicto Leoiar scored to the left of an out of position Carolo Nahia, making the score, 1-0. Benedicto Leoiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Carolo Nahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Fulbito VT FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jesus Mon hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Silvano Calixto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victor Diegotxe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Victor Diegotxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Gonza in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Fulbito VT FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jesus Mon hit a great ball. If Benedicto Leoiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Quinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Diegotxe having to interfere. If Elpidio Gonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedicto Leoiar made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Benedicto Leoiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fulbito VT FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedicto Leoiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Nahia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Islandia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fulbito VT FC:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melchor Mannie in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carolo Nahia saved Islandia from getting behind. Romulo Lucian kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Carolo Nahia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Leoiar in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Fulbito VT FC were awarded a corner. Cristian Valery went to the cornerflag to take it. Carolo Nahia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchor Mannie, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Melchor Mannie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Carolo Nahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Islandia's Carolo Nahia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Leoiar in the 86th minute of play. If Benedicto Leoiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Lucian hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Fulbito VT FC got a corner. Islandia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristian Valery ran over to the corner to take the kick. Matias Laurin made a great header on Fulbito VT FC's corner, it was just that Islandia's Carolo Nahia managed to reach the ball for a save.
