Silvio Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elpidio Gonza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Hector Quinton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ermegildo Theobald. The goal made the score 1-1. Potrero's Ermegildo Theobald proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Potrero from getting a goal against them. Elpidio Gonza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermegildo Theobald read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match, Romulo Lucian tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ermegildo Theobald saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hector Quinton hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Ermegildo Theobald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Quinton in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Hector Quinton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ermegildo Theobald. Hector Quinton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When Silvio Rio came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Potrero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Rio couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Potrero's zone, Hector Quinton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Theobald came out of the goal and Hector Quinton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carolo Nahia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Arlo in the 45th minute of the match. Elpidio Gonza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paolo Arlo to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Potrero's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Gonza came free, but Ermegildo Theobald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Potrero getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Rodrigo Corderall hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Hector Quinton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Theobald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Silvio Rio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Israel Valiente kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, one of Potrero:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Potrero. In the 75th minute Hector Quinton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Theobald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Gonza in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermegildo Theobald prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Quinton in the 78th minute of play forced Potrero's goalkeeper Ermegildo Theobald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Melquiades Loi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Islandia's Hector Quinton got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Hector Quinton made a precise shot to the right of Ermegildo Theobald. Potrero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Silvano Calixto didn't quite understand what happened when in the 93 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Martin Gaur's late challenge caught a Islandia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Gaur helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Potrero getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Martin Gaur hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Potrero's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Gonza came free, but Ermegildo Theobald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
