Potrero's Ermegildo Theobald proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Potrero from getting a goal against them. Pascual Enmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Arlo in the 6th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Potrero's zone, Gustavo Mendiko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Theobald came out of the goal and Gustavo Mendiko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV's goalkeeper Pascual Enmanuel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Efrain Igon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV and the Potrero players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV's Efrain Igon got a free kick in the 21st minute. Gustavo Mendiko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ermegildo Theobald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Efrain Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Loi. After having played for 48 minutes, Paolo Arlo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potrero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Arlo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Fernando Liher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Liher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermegildo Theobald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Efrain Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Mendiko scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ermegildo Theobald, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 62 played minutes Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Frascuelo. If Fernando Liher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Mendiko struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ermegildo Theobald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Mendiko in the 75th minute of play forced Potrero's goalkeeper Ermegildo Theobald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermegildo Theobald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Mendiko in the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV's Efrain Igon got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute, Gustavo Mendiko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ermegildo Theobald was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Fernando Liher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Guerrero. A nice corner shot did that Virgilio Herauso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ermegildo Theobald quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
