The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fernan Selatse charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ismael Jax fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Behe having to interfere. Fernan Selatse hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Ismael Jax managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azul y Oro Cris's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Jax was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Azul y Oro Cris:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chacarita:s goal. When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, Chacarita's Maximiliano Beltza got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Patricio Cordarin. In the 24th minute Ismael Jax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Behe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Behe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Jax's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Uriel Mattin charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Azul y Oro Cris fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Azul y Oro Cris's Ismael Jax looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Placido Behe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Jax in the 41st minute of play. Fabio Incendio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Patricio Cordarin made a huge save. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ismael Jax stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chacarita's Dalmacio Blasi got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benicio Normando during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Chacarita getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Benicio Normando hit a great ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chacarita's goalkeeper Placido Behe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Azul y Oro Cris got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Vincente. After 73 minutes, Narciso Deunoro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacarita and the Azul y Oro Cris players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ismael Jax did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-4 to the left of a surprised Placido Behe 77 minutes into the match. A collision led to Azul y Oro Cris getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ildefonso Vincente hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Ismael Jax reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Placido Behe. The goal made the score 2-5. Placido Behe made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Silverio Figueroa sent off a good shot on target. Ismael Jax struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Placido Behe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azul y Oro Cris. Marciano Gipuzkoa had several of the Chacarita's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 93 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-6 score and a disappointed Placido Behe as he didn't even see the shot coming.
