Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Amadeo Ofelio started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Javier Godoy hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Cachivache F.C's Anibal Kemen got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Ciénaga's Melchor Tiniebra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Epifanio Poncio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guido Vincente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Leguizamón in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Melchor Tiniebra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Poncio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Leguizamón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guido Vincente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melchor Tiniebra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Tiniebra in the 53rd minute of play forced Cachivache F.C's goalkeeper Epifanio Poncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteve Rodriguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeo Ofelio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Cachivache F.C's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 73rd minute, Victoriano Leguizamón made a precise shot to the right of Guido Vincente. Ciénaga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 79 minutes, Amadeo Ofelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachivache F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Ofelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Cachivache F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Tiniebra came free, but Epifanio Poncio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
