The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godfredo Guillerme helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Guillerme. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Godfredo Guillerme hit a great ball. Marciano Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Salvidor in the 19th minute of the match. Marciano Ferrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Salvidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfredo Guillerme was shown his second yellow card after 27 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Godfredo Guillerme hit a great ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Zacarias Danel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente's Leonides Iraunkor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Octavio Salvidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Ferrer having to interfere. With a little luck, Protestante AFC's Marciano Ferrer got control of the ball when Christian Panfilo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute, Zacarias Danel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Independiente's Leonides Iraunkor didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Honorio Loi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonides Iraunkor came out of the goal and Honorio Loi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zacarias Danel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Panfilo to make the kick off. Zacarias Danel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Leonides Iraunkor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Zacarias Danel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Marciano Roldanillo hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes, Protestante AFC's Jairo Truylos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonides Iraunkor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Protestante AFC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Loi in the 68th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Leonides Iraunkor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorio Loi took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonides Iraunkor. Leonides Iraunkor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Leonides Iraunkor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zacarias Danel in the 75th minute. Christian Panfilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Ferrer having to interfere. Marciano Ferrer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marciano Roldanillo went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Honorio Loi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorio Loi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Leonides Iraunkor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Protestante AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Protestante AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Independiente were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
