Serafin Calisto might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amador Bento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafin Calisto ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnulfo Fidensio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Otsoko, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute Honorio Otsoko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Fidensio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amador Bento came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Branca FC's Honorio Seber. But to his dismay, Honorio Seber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 35 minutes, Anibal Firmin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Branca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Firmin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Serafin Calisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Veleros's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Seber came free, but Amador Bento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amador Bento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Seber, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Branca FC were awarded a corner. Honorio Seber went to the cornerflag to take it. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Honorio Seber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amador Bento. Veleros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Honorio Seber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Otsoko was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Branca FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rafael Silvino hit a great ball. If Honorio Seber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute of the match Valentin Quinteros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amador Bento skillfully saved the ball.
