With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Veremundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 38 minutes, Amado Cidro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BOCA JUNIORS and the Ranquilcó FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Epifanio Benet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Veremundo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bonifacio Reynardo got free with Evaristo Veremundo in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristobal Pepillo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Benet in the 59th minute of play forced BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Evaristo Veremundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Benet couldn't finish the play. Bonifacio Reynardo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 90thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Evaristo Veremundo would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Fidel Amaya kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
