Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Domingos Arias made the kick off and thus started the match. After 3 minutes, Rene Botello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cogote FC and the Hermetica FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cogote FC's Rene Botello got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute of the match Leopoldo Remicio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pablo Boni skillfully saved the ball. Leopoldo Atarratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Melchor Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Cogote FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Atarratze came free, but Pablo Boni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Domingos Arias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Horacio Arias, 1-0. Melchor Umea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pablo Boni having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damaso Gelacio during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hermetica FC booed when Cogote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Gelacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermetica FC were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Cogote FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leopoldo Remicio took the corner. Leopoldo Atarratze might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pablo Boni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Atarratze ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melchor Umea was the one to do the kick off. Cogote FC's Pablo Boni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Umea in the 52nd minute of play. Pablo Boni made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Leopoldo Atarratze sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 62 minutes, Melchor Umea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hermetica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melchor Umea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melchor Umea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pablo Boni having to make a save. Pablo Boni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Umea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carmelo Loramendi kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Leopoldo Atarratze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Melchor Umea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Leopoldo Atarratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melchor Umea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amado Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amado Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd match minute, Hermetica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Leopoldo Atarratze could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Pablo Boni made a huge save. Pablo Boni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Umea in the 89th minute of play. Leopoldo Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Pablo Boni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carmelo Loramendi kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Hermetica FC's Leopoldo Remicio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Pablo Boni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Umea in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hermetica FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
