Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Arnulfo Ferrer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavio Garci was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 31 minutes in the game Rogelio Fertus did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Efrain Arnalt. In the 34th minute of the match Rogelio Fertus shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavio Garci showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 40th minute of the game Rogelio Fertus made a throw-in which Efrain Arnalt played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Jon in the 47th minute of play forced Luzuriaga's goalkeeper Octavio Garci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaspar Ebardo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Luzuriaga booed when Charbonier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Gamus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Luzuriaga's Nemesio Amaya got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Rogelio Fertus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Octavio Garci. Luzuriaga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Luzuriaga's zone, Efrain Arnalt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Garci came out of the goal and Efrain Arnalt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nemesio Amaya during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 75 minutes into the game, one of Luzuriaga:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Luzuriaga's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rogelio Fertus was slow to take the kick. During this time Charbonier's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Rogelio Fertus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Luzuriaga's Octavio Garci did a great save. Rogelio Fertus made in the 81st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Efrain Arnalt. Nemesio Calvet's late challenge caught a Luzuriaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Calvet helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Charbonier got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Calvet. 95 minutes into the match, Gaspar Ebardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alejandro Felipo. Charbonier's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Ebardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Charbonier were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
