After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Victoriano Fernendo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Almagro's supporters rose to their feet, but Victoriano Fernendo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Vela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the game, Club Almagro's Fidel Petrigai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fidel Petrigai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evelio Vela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Academia FC's Aurelio Liher got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Amador Cucao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Almagro's Bartolo Flores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Almagro from getting a goal against them. When Aurelio Liher came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Academia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Liher couldn't finish the play. Club Almagro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
