Alejandro Cefero's late challenge caught a Banfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alejandro Cefero helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético River BR's Alejandro Cefero got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Banfield's Humberto Corderun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximiliano Macias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 9 minutes into the game, Pedro Pirro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético River BR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Banfield the free kick. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético River BR's goalkeeper Maximiliano Macias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Delmiro Iyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Humberto Corderun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Maximiliano Macias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosme Merexildo during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, Cosme Merexildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Bertol to strike the kick off in the second half. Felipe Teofilio kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Freddy Paz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Bertol, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Freddy Paz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Cefero in the 60th minute of the match. Nemesio Rexino's late challenge caught a Banfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Rexino helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Banfield booed when Club Atlético River BR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Rexino didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jonathan Bertol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmiro Iyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Maximiliano Macias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmiro Iyan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Macias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Maximiliano Macias made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Humberto Corderun sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Delmiro Iyan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Maximiliano Macias, passed just outside the right post. When Jonathan Bertol came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Club Atlético River BR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Bertol couldn't finish the play. Freddy Paz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Cefero in the 85th minute of play. Freddy Paz came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético River BR's Pedro Pirro. But to his dismay, Pedro Pirro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Banfield's Delmiro Iyan got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Club Atlético River BR getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alejandro Cefero hit a great ball. Freddy Paz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Bertol in the 97th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Atlético River BR had won after a very even match.
