Eliseo Eutropio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fabian Osasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Eliseo Eutropio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabian Osasun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Aznar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 39 minutes, Eliseo Eutropio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Eutropio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Vincent kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. When Eliseo Eutropio came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the C.A River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Eutropio couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Aznar made a kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Eliseo Eutropio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nike FC's Fabian Osasun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sergio Aznar came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the C.A River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Aznar couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the game, Federico Mirande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nike FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A River Plate the free kick. C.A River Plate's Angelino Avellaneda shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fabian Osasun but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Nike FC's Fabian Osasun got control of the ball when Eliseo Eutropio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Modesto Mattin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Modesto Mattin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Nike FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Mirande to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Eutropio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Nike FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Federico Mirande hit a great ball. Fabian Osasun stood somewhat misplaced when Sergio Aznar came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 80 minute. The supporters of Nike FC booed when C.A River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Galindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Modesto Mattin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Sergio Aznar came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the C.A River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Aznar couldn't finish the play. After 95 minutes of play Nike FC's Federico Mirande was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 96 played minutes Nike FC got a freekick which was hit by Federico Mirande.
