Leopoldo Etxahun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Maximiliano Macias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Pirro in the 8th minute of play forced Palmar's goalkeeper Emiliano Monico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palmar made a substitution. Fabian Modestio replaced Leopoldo Etxahun. Basilio Favila kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Eugenio Donzel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Palmar's Aurelio Leguizamón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximiliano Macias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Natalio Velasco shot from long distance in the 15th minute, but Maximiliano Macias was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Maximiliano Macias made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Aurelio Leguizamón sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute Siro Frasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palmar's Siro Frasco got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Modestio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Maximiliano Macias made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético River BR's zone, Emiliano Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Macias came out of the goal and Emiliano Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute Eugenio Donzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Leguizamón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximiliano Macias made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Eugenio Donzel sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético River BR's zone, Fabian Modestio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Macias came out of the goal and Fabian Modestio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atlético River BR's Basilio Favila got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Basilio Favila off the ground. In the 43rd match minute, Club Atlético River BR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Favila to maneuver through the defense. Eugenio Donzel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Maximiliano Macias made a huge save. Aurelio Leguizamón struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Maximiliano Macias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Eugenio Donzel made the kick off in the second half. Palmar's Emiliano Monico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Palmar from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Bertol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Monico having to interfere. A collision led to Club Atlético River BR getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Pedro Pirro hit a great ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Pedro Pirro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético River BR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Pirro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Club Atlético River BR defense, Fabian Modestio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximiliano Macias. The Club Atlético River BR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximiliano Macias should have stopped the shot. If Eugenio Donzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atlético River BR's Maximiliano Macias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Donzel in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River BR's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Frasco came free, but Maximiliano Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 minutes of play, Palmar's Emiliano Garcia made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximiliano Macias was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aurelio Leguizamón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 80 minutes, Eugenio Donzel made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético River BR's Maximiliano Macias tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Alejandro Cefero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Palmar's Eugenio Donzel in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético River BR's goalie prevented a goal. There was no doubt that Palmar were the better team. Palmar's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
