The audience cheered when Jonathan Gil's long shot passed Bruno Txordon's right side. It was 0-1, 14 minutes into the match. Froilan Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Txordon having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Jurgi in the 21st minute of play forced Saladillo AFC's goalkeeper Fabio Estevon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Estevon came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by DEPORTIVO MERLO 2's Iker Jurgi. But to his dismay, Iker Jurgi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bruno Panpili might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Estevon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Panpili ran back to his position shaking his head. If Iker Jurgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saladillo AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Iker Jurgi scored to the left of an out of position Fabio Estevon, making the score, 2-1. Saladillo AFC's Fabio Estevon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Saladillo AFC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Saladillo AFC's zone, Iker Jurgi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Estevon came out of the goal and Iker Jurgi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Panpili recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Niceto Monte fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saladillo AFC's protests and gave Niceto Monte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Niceto Monte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Saladillo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Jurgi came free, but Fabio Estevon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iker Jurgi was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, DEPORTIVO MERLO 2's goalkeeper Bruno Txordon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Froilan Burni. In the 54th minute Arturo Oidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Txordon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Estevon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Panpili went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Arturo Oidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bruno Txordon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play Saladillo AFC's Niceto Monte was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 65 played minutes Saladillo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Monte. Iker Jurgi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Estevon having to make a save. In the 70th minute Bruno Panpili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Estevon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Panpili in the 72nd minute of play forced Saladillo AFC's goalkeeper Fabio Estevon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4-1 became the score in the 76th minute when Iker Jurgi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Tobias Eneas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iker Jurgi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Estevon having to interfere. A collision led to Saladillo AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Isaac Orti hit a great ball. Saladillo AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
