Bruno Panpili came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristobal Lizar could save by the left post. Ciriaco Azevedo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruno Txordon. DEPORTIVO MERLO 2's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, JOGP's Wilfredo Benino made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Txordon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Martin Beltran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, JOGP's Cristobal Lizar got control of the ball when Bruno Panpili tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in JOGP's zone, Bruno Panpili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Lizar came out of the goal and Bruno Panpili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iker Jurgi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Cristobal Lizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Elias Gerazan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JOGP and the DEPORTIVO MERLO 2 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes JOGP got a freekick which was hit by Elias Gerazan. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Iker Jurgi managed to get in a good position for a shot. DEPORTIVO MERLO 2's supporters rose to their feet, but Iker Jurgi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristobal Lizar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Panpili might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristobal Lizar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Panpili ran back to his position shaking his head. Iker Jurgi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristobal Lizar having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Bruno Panpili got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilfredo Benino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artemio Matei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Bruno Txordon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. JOGP's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Bruno Txordon came out of the goal and Wilfredo Benino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Elias Gerazan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Txordon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Benino in the 75th minute of the match. Bruno Panpili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Iker Jurgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for DEPORTIVO MERLO 2! If Elias Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. JOGP's Wilfredo Benino got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
