The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerardo Demesio during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of JOGP booed when Philipps was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Demesio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristobal Lizar was a little too slow when Samuel Bento got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Esteban Pueblo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Benino, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Esteban Pueblo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Benino in the 24th minute of the match. When Humberto Cristofor came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Philipps fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Cristofor couldn't finish the play. JOGP's Cristobal Lizar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Cristofor in the 31st minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilfredo Benino to strike the kick off in the second half. JOGP's Cristobal Lizar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Cristofor in the 55th minute of play. Philipps's Samuel Bento got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Samuel Bento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cristobal Lizar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Humberto Cristofor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cristobal Lizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Bento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artemio Matei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Esteban Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artemio Matei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Esteban Pueblo made a huge save. Esteban Pueblo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Benino in the 78th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Philipps got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Demesio. Wilfredo Benino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Pueblo having to interfere. Marcelino Cebo's late challenge caught a JOGP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelino Cebo helped the player get up and apologised. Marcelino Cebo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Philipps got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Eduino. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Philipps's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Artemio Abaurre was slow to take the kick. During this time JOGP's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Artemio Larra managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cristobal Lizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Bento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philipps's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
