Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Egun to strike the kick off in the second half. Falckner's Santo Kaiet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Benitez in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Angelino Iratzeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Locaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Egun, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 72nd minute, Atletico Rafaela's Carmelo Benitez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santo Kaiet. Santo Kaiet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 81st minute Jeremias Egun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Locaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Egun's late challenge caught a Atletico Rafaela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Egun helped the player get up and apologised.
