In the 29th minute Ignacio Araoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, El Fronton's Albano Ondino got a free kick in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Araoz in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino Urtats saved El Fronton from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Ignacio Araoz made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Ladislao Estebe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anselmo Fidencio skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Dario Ibar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferrocarril Oeste's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Ibar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferrocarril Oeste's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
