Union FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Itzaina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anier Sanduru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Aresti, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Union FC's goalkeeper Antonio Efren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Florentino Jatsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonas Itzaina spun around in front of the goal 26 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of TALLERES's goal. Jonas Itzaina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anier Sanduru having to make a save. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind TALLERES's goalkeeper Anier Sanduru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anier Sanduru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Itzaina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of TALLERES booed when Union FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Jorrin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Rafael Blanco made the kick off in the second half. Lorenzo Bortzaioriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Anier Sanduru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Itzaina in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anier Sanduru, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Antonio Efren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Blanco in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes of play, TALLERES's Enzo Sagrario made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Efren was left in no man's land by his defense there! The corner led Union FC's Alonzo Mateo to a score. 1-1 in the 66th minute. Antonio Efren came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by TALLERES's Rafael Blanco. But to his dismay, Rafael Blanco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Jonas Itzaina took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anier Sanduru. Anier Sanduru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Rafael Blanco came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the TALLERES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Blanco couldn't finish the play. After 85 minutes, Evelio Jorrin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Union FC and the TALLERES players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lorenzo Bortzaioriz might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anier Sanduru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lorenzo Bortzaioriz ran back to his position shaking his head. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
