Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adan Osorio in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobias Sanchez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Leonardo Ferdinand came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ciudadela F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Ferdinand couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute Adan Osorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Sanchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Rosendo Ereinotz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Intiyaco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosendo Ereinotz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tobias Sanchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan Osorio in the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of Intiyaco FC booed when Ciudadela F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Koldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ciudadela F.C.'s goalkeeper Genaro Erdiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Paolo Dantae took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Genaro Erdiano to make any attempt to save it. If Rosendo Ereinotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Conrado Veto's late challenge caught a Ciudadela F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Veto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Intiyaco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Veto to maneuver through the defense. If Leonardo Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adan Osorio to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Ferdinand in the 54th minute of play forced Intiyaco FC's goalkeeper Tobias Sanchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
